U.S. Markets for Arthroscopic and Osteoconductive and Osteoinductive Products

The United States (U.S.) market for arthroscopic and osteoconductive and osteoinductive products, as covered by the scope of this report, includes allografts, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), synthetic bone substitutes, bone growth stimulation products, and arthroscopy devices. Allografts, BMPs, and synthetic bone substitutes are used in arthroplasty, fracture repair, spine surgery, and other orthopedic procedures including hand and foot and oncologic surgeries. Bone growth stimulation devices are used to aid bone healing in the treatment of congenital pseudarthrosis, fractures, osteotomies, and spinal fusions. Arthroscopy devices most commonly are used in the treatment of sports injuries to the knee and shoulder; however, they also are used in the treatment of damage or injury to the hip and small joints.
