Statistical Overview of Healthcare in Selected European Countries

With more than 500 million inhabitants, the European Union (EU) represents one of the world’s largest and most profitable markets for medical products manufacturers. To compete effectively in this market, medical products suppliers must be familiar with healthcare systems, reimbursement practices, and regulatory requirements of countries in the region. This report presents an overview of healthcare organization in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom (U.K.); the Benelux countries of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg; and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
