European Markets for Drug Delivery Products and Technologies

Current methods of delivering drugs to biological target sites in therapeutically optimal amounts have numerous drawbacks.  To address these drawbacks, ongoing investigations into drug delivery methods and materials are aimed at improving drug targeting specificity, increasing drug absorption rates, and reducing biochemical degradation and drug toxicity.

For the purposes of this report, the European drug delivery products market has been divided into five segments: oral, transdermal, inhalation, transmucosal, and injectable drug delivery products, which are discussed in the following sections.
