Digital Therapeutics for Behavioral Health

Digital therapeutics (DTx), as defined for this report, are evidence-based therapeutic interventions driven by high-quality software programs to prevent, manage, or treat a medical disorder or disease. DTx have been developed for a variety of indications, particularly the treatment of chronic diseases such as behavioral health disorders, diabetes, and respiratory diseases. This report focuses on DTx for behavioral health and cognitive disorders, including:

• depressive disorders
• stress/mild anxiety
• anxiety disorders, including panic disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Substance use disorders (SUD), including alcohol and opioid addiction
• cognitive disorders, including dementia and neurodevelopmental.
